Based in South East London, I am a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with 13 years of experience across acute and community settings. My career began in 2012 with a Distinction in Speech and Language Therapy from City University, London, and has been driven by a passion for supporting children with complex communication and feeding needs.My clinical background is rooted in specialist care; prior to qualifying, I worked as a Speech and Language Therapy Technical Instructor on the Brain Injury Unit at The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability and as a Speech Therapy Assistant for Richmond Adult Learning Disability Service. Post-qualification, my journey started internationally, volunteering with children with cleft lip and palate in Phnom Penh, before returning to the UK to work within the NHS across mainstream schools, nurseries, and specialist hearing impairment provisions (Oxleas Schools Team).The heart of my clinical expertise was forged during my nearly ten-year tenure at King’s College Hospital. Working across the wards of the Variety Children’s Hospital, I specialised in the assessment and management of infants, children, and adolescents with complex medical presentations and acute neuro-disabilities.Paediatric neurology is more than just a clinical speciality for me; it is a personal one. Growing up with a sister who had an acquired brain injury gave me a unique, firsthand perspective on the challenges families face.
